Today I am thankful for the most amazing, wonderful -&- loving Mother in the whole entire...God gave me a gift...they day He chose you to be my Mother!?!

Raise Your Voice

Last year I wrote a blog entitled Someone's Watchin' Over Me which was based on a song I found in the movie Raise Your Voice...starring Hilary Duff!?!
Today I wanted to tell you about that movie!?!


Raise Your Voice is a coming-of-age story centered around a small-town singer, brokenhearted by the death of her brother in a car crash, who had secretly submitted her for a summer session at a performing arts academy in Los Angeles!?!
In the performing arts academy, she experiences a whole new way of life in the big city, far from the small town lifestyle she's used to!?!
The film will revolve around her efforts to confront her lack of formal classic training
-&-
deal with a romantic entanglement!?!
Today I am thankful that I have been able to "Raise My Voice"!?!

Turtle Cookies!?!

Since my girlfriends Blair -&- Sianna love Turtles...I found a great recipe so they can indulge their
love in a cookie version!?!
Simple, easy -&- delicious!?!

Ingredients:
- 1 pkg Betty Crocker double chocolate
chunk cookie mix
- 3 Tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 Tbsp water
- 1 egg
- 36 round milk chocolate-covered chewy caramels, unwrapped
- 36 pecan halves


Directions:
1. Heat oven to 375 degrees.
Place miniature paper baking cups in each of 36 mini muffin cups.
2. In large bowl stir cookie mix, oil, water and egg until soft dough forms.

3. Shape dough into 36 1-1/4 inch balls, place in muffin cups.
If dough becomes sticky, dust hands with flour.

4. Bake 8 - 9 minutes or until edges are set. Immediately press one milk chocolate-covered caramel into center of each cookie cup.

5. Cool two minutes.
Top with pecan halves.
Cool completely.
Remove from pan with narrow spatula!?!

Today I am thankful for friends who tell me about their favorites so I can try them to!?!

Today I am thankful for the chances that I have been given in life!?!

Tzatziki Sauce

I love Tzatziki Sauce since the first time I had it on some amazing Gyros in Chicago!?! At the time that was the only place I could seem to find it!?!

But now it is so easy to make - you can serve it with whatever you'd like!?!

It is great on Greek Salad, Gyros -&- even served as a dip for
vegetables or chips!?!


Here is a simple to follow recipe to make it home:

Ingredients:
2 (8 ounce) containers plain yogurt
2 cucumbers - peeled, seeded -&- diced
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 lemon, juiced
1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill
3 cloves garlic, peeled
Salt -&- Pepper to taste


In a food processor or blender, combine yogurt, cucumber, olive oil, lemon juice, salt, pepper, dill -&- garlic!?!
Process until well-combined!?!
Transfer to a separate dish, cover and refrigerate for at least one hour for best flavor!?!

But if you are like me -&- don't really have the time (or the place) to make it...it is now available at your local Walmart!?!
The husband -&- I picked up some the other day -&- all we did was fight over who got it!?! Next time we will have to get two!?!
